Required Documents
- Obtain an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before the start of your journey — all visitors (including infants and children) must have an eTA.
- Apply via the official eTA website (contacts provided on the Immigration site); eTA applications are processed within 3 working days.
- Carry a passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry.
- Be prepared to present your passport and appear in person before an immigration officer on arrival.
- Be prepared for biometric capture on arrival (facial photograph and fingerprints).
- Have a return or onward ticket (or evidence of onward travel arrangements).
- Have evidence of enough funds for sustenance for the duration of your stay.
- Have hotel booking details or the physical address and telephone contact of your host.
- Have a travel itinerary while in Kenya available to present if requested.
- Comply with any health and vaccination requirements before entry.
- Report lost or stolen travel documents to Kenyan immigration authorities if necessary and obtain appropriate documentation.
- Do not overstay the authorized period; apply for any required extensions/renewals before expiry.

On arrival you must present yourself to an immigration officer at a designated point of entry; failure to report at a designated PoE or to comply with procedures may lead to arrest or refusal of entry. Comply with conditions specified in your eTA/entry permit.
