- Valid ordinary passport (India) — passport must be valid for the entire period of stay in Armenia
- Apply via the official e‑Visa system (preferred) OR apply at an Armenian embassy/consulate
- Travel (medical) insurance (mandatory for e‑Visa and embassy applications)
- Either: a valid visa or residence permit from EU/Schengen, USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, UK, Canada, Russia, or Japan; OR air ticket reservation (return) + invitation from Armenian host/agency + proof of financial means (see below)
- Proof of financial means: bank statements for 3 months, salary certificate, work contract, or other proof
- If applying at an embassy/consulate: visa application form, passport photos, invitation, proof of financial means, return air ticket reservation, hotel reservation, consular fee, copy of passport pages with visas/residence permits obtained during the past 3 years, and any other documents requested
Passport must be valid for the entire period of stay in Armenia (official embassy guidance).
Photo 3.5 x 4.5 cm (required for embassy/consulate application).
Proof of financial means: bank statement for 3 months, salary certificate, work contract, or other proof (as listed by the embassy for e‑Visa/consular applications).
Travel (medical) insurance is mandatory for e‑Visa and embassy applications (listed by the embassy).
Return air ticket reservation is required unless you hold an eligible third‑country visa/residence permit (alternative is to provide invitation + proof of funds). Hotel reservation may be requested for embassy applications.
e‑Visa system: normal processing quoted as 3 working days (eVisa Terms & Conditions). Embassy/consulate processing: embassy FAQ states 10 working days. e‑Visa fee is non‑refundable and additional documents may be requested (per eVisa terms).
Indian ordinary passport holders are not visa‑free nor normally eligible for visa‑on‑arrival; the embassy explicitly recommends using the e‑Visa. Holders of Indian diplomatic passports: visa not required for up to 30 days. Border/arrival visa option is listed only for travellers holding certain valid visas/residence permits (EU/Schengen, USA, UK, Canada, Japan, some GCC permits, etc.). No official arrival card requirement was found on the reviewed pages.
